Expressions is a School-wide Title I School.

We would like to welcome you and your child Expressions Learning Arts Academy. Because 40% or more of our students are economically disadvantaged (based on information provided on the yearly free and reduced lunch applications), our school qualifies as a federal Title I School-wide Program.

Title I is the largest federal program in the United States which offers assistance to education. It is a part of the “No Child Left Behind Act of 2001” (NCLB), the federal law regarding education. We receive all of our federal Title I funding through the School Board of Alachua County SBAC), and are grateful for their support and guidance. Expressions uses these Title I funds to provide extra instructional support for students and to enhance parental involvement in our school.

Title I and NCLB require that all parents have access to our school’s No Child Left Behind / School Public Accountability Reports (NCLB/SPAR),  the Adequate Yearly Progress Reports (AYP), and School Improvement Plan (SIP). These reports and plan are available on the State of Florida's Education Website, this website and in our office.  Title I parent resources are available in the school lobby and in our media center.

Breakfast (@7:45) and lunches are available through our contract with SBAC.  Contact the office for details.
